[Brittany is glad to get the reply. She knows she's been a bit in her own thoughts lately, not that there are many of them, and she knows focusing on something she's good at will be good. She can do that.

Then maybe she'll be able to ask Santana why she wants to have her live with Sam and her. Right now, though, she'll just ignore that and find something fun to do that she's good at.]

[If he's THAT horrible, she'll move them somewhere else. Like... somewhere close to that random public spot.]

[He can always walk her back when they're done.]

[Tom will be there in 10 minutes. Maybe 10 and a half.]

[Brittany takes the long way there and ends up eight minutes late. She has a bag of candy and a baby duck in her pocket.]

[He's starting to feel nervous. Nervous and guilty, because she's a lady and he should've met and walked her here. Tom's pacing back and forth when he finally hears her call out.]

Ay up! I was startin' to get worried about ya.

I brought candy. Oh! [She pulls the baby duck out of her pocket.] This is Mr. Quacks.

I didn't know we was supposed to bring something.

[Tom looks a little distressed at that. But it's physically impossible for him to not smile at a baby duck.]

It's a right pleasure to meet ya, Mr. Quacks.

There was a shop. I stopped and picked up the candy. [She offers out the bag.] Do you want some?

[He shouldn't. McNair always told him that too many sweets was bad for his teeth.

But he really likes them.]

[Tom takes some and pops it into his mouth.]

It's good to stretch before any rigorous form of activity.
